Situated on roughly 150 secluded acres, Fair Winds Farm provides boarding services for racing, breeding, and sales-oriented clients. All horses are cared for by professional staff and given the highest quality care. On occasion, we have openings. Our foaling barn is equipped with cameras in the large foaling stalls. Our barren mares’ barn is outfitted with automatic timers to control the lights of individual stalls. We have an enclosed round pen and different pasture set-ups to accommodate a lot of special needs.
A partnership was formed with Overbrook Farm with three stallions, Gold Market, Mercer Mill and Noble Cat, after we retired Honey Jay (the leading sire in Ohio). Much success was achieved with all 3 stallions. Mercer Mill has been leading sire in Ohio 10 times.
Fair Winds Farm has a specific philosophy for raising horses. Our livestock are not ‘hot-housed’; we believe that they need to be kept in herds and allowed to simply be horses. We also maintain a rigid policy of field maintenance, carefully maintaining our soil conditions for a good balance of minerals and vitamins. Good, sound horses all start on the ground they are raised on.
